Feb 26, 2009

Today was much like yesterday...not much change. It is a time for Todd and I to be still and know that God is God and His timing is perfect. Jameson is no farther along than yesterday. A very insightful doctor told me today, "Melisa, he is NOT getting worse". So instead of thinking that he is not getting better...my new way of thinking is this...we are not getting worse. We are just waiting for Jameson to let us know what we can do next to help him. I found myself thinking today that this really stinks and it is not fair and so on and so forth. I was quickly reminded that when I am thankful it is hard to be negative. So, I decided to think about what was positive and I came up with far more reasons to be joyful than to be unhappy and negative. Yes, this is hard and there are times when it has been unbearable, but we have not lost hope. We serve a BIG God with BIG plans for our baby boy. I WILL accept this trial and praise God that He has given Todd and our family EVERYTHING we need to go through it.

Thanks for ALL of your prayers.

Love,
Melisa

I want you to know that our family is praying for Jameson and all of you everyday. I left a message a few days ago, my daughter is friends with Graycn and we are a former TFA family. Jameson is so precious and so are your other sons. As a mom I can understand when your child hurts so do you. Please believe that our Lord and God Jesus Christ is holding Jameson in his arms and loving on him. Believe in the Lord for he is good, his love endures for ever.
We will keep praying for all of you, for Jameson to heal and be able to go home. Thank you for the daily updates.
Your friends in Christ,
The Karbergs

Dear Sweet Friend:

Please know that I pray for Jameson daily, and for your family. We do not know all the plans that God has for us, but we know that his plan is the absolute best. I know he must have great plans for Jameson.

It is difficult as a mom to see a child endure such struggles, but God gives us strength to move from minute to minute.

Our family will keep in touch, and we will continue to pray for your family.

Love in Christ, Cheryl Nelson

Thinking of you a lot today and admiring your dependence on God's perfect strength and timing.

I read recently that the future belongs to the Lord and we should not try to take what belongs to Him. I cannot imagine how hard living in the "now" is for you guys right now, but I know that is where God will meet you tp give you His perfect strength and grace for each moment.

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. (I think that is Duet 4:29 but I'm note sure, I need to brush up on my BLC memory verses! :>)

Much love,
Kathleen
