March 3rd, 2009. Celebration Day

This morning at 6:08 Jameson went home to be with Jesus. He's now got a perfect body without EB and without breathing problems. He's running around playing with Jesus. I told Melisa that Jesus is probably rubbing his skin all over the place and no blisters!!!

The past 24 hours have been really hard, as you can imagine. At noon yesterday a MRI was done on Jameson's brain. It came back showing that severe damage had been done to all parts of his brain as a result of him coding for 17 minutes. The ER doctors kept him alive through chest compressions. I'm not a fan of CPR anymore...just kidding of course (the good of CPR far outweighs the bad). At 7:30 last night Jameson's breathing tube was taken out and the strong little guy comfortably breathed on his own for about 10 hours before he went home to receive his new, perfect body.

We thank each and everyone of you for your unfailing love and prayers for us. We know that God has answered all your prayers for Jameson. We feel a peace that passes all understanding.

Our memorial service is set for this Friday at First Baptist of Orlando's Henry Chapel at 11 a.m.

Thank you.

Todd and Melisa

My mother's heart grieves your loss and at the same time celebrates Jameson's new life that is bandage and pain free. I have to believe that his purpose in life outweighs the pain of his loss, though I know how deep the pain can be.

Jameson's life, though you, has touched many people, made God more real, his compassion and mercy more accessible. Such a huge purpose for such a little guy.

Thank you for so openly sharing him with us. We will continue to walk this journey with you, knowing that God goes before us.We are praying for you, N and Z and all your family.

We love you,
Matt & Kathleen

We will continue to pray for peace for your family. We also feel that Jameson is running around with Jesus kicking up GOLD dust on the streets in heaven. What a beautiful sight it is. He will always be a part of your life and one day you will hold him again. He will forever be in your hearts and lives. Find peace in the word of GOD, for only he knows why, and we can only trust in HIM.

Melisa and Todd,
A friend of yours left your blog address on my sister-in-law's blog. I have read it from beginning to end. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am truly thankful you are still able to praise God in your grief.

My nephew, Jonah was born this past Friday and diagnosed with EB. We await the test results to find out what type of EB he has. Thanks so much for sharing your story.

The Mustaine's are praying for the entire Setsma family. We love you all and want you to know that we are blessed to have known and followed the life of your sweet little baby boy. We will always tell MaryCate of Jameson, as he was one of the first on her prayer list. May God's grace be sufficient as we know it always is.

I only learned about Jameson two days ago and was so touched by his precious smile and your Faith. My prayers are with all of you, but the thought of Jameson sitting on the lap of Jesus will bring you comfort. May God continue to give you that perfect peace that passes al understanding. When I was reading your post tonight, the first thing the Lord brought to mind was Jameson's feet.

"...How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" {Romans 10:15}

Jameson has such BEAUTIFUL FEET!

Everyday of Jameson's life has challenged so many of us to pray, to seek God's face, and to trust Him with the things we don't understand. Many of us will go our whole lives and not touch as many people as Jameson did in seven months. Thank you for always pointing us to Jesus.

We love you guys and are praying for you all.

It was an absolute blessing to be able to care for Jameson and your family over the past several days! Your love for him and for the Lord shined through in everything you did and said. Some days will be harder than others but always rest assured that Jameson is whole again, in the most perfect place he can be! You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers! Take care of yourselves and each other!

The only way to ease the pain is to imagine that sweet boy smiling and sitting in the lap of the Ancient of Days! He has beheld with his beautiful eyes what we can only dream about. No more pain, no more difficult days - he has truly been touched by the healing hand of his Father in Heaven.

I think about the fact that this little one only knew love...and you have done that with amazing grace and strength. Know that our family is holding all of you in prayer. That our hearts are grieving your great loss, and we are here to hold you up as you move through this day, this week and the days ahead.

Jameson was so blessed to have you both as parents. Your love for God and faith has been so encouraging to us. We have been praying since we heard about Jameson this summer. Thank you for sharing so much and just know that we will be praying for you and will always remember Jameson. He was such a part of our lives. My 5 year old Nick and I would get up every morning to see pictures and say hi to him and read the blog and pray. We sure felt like we knew him and someday will see him! We are here in NC to help in anyway if you need it.

We have been praying so much for you all! We love you!!!! I can only imagine the emotions you all are enduring right now. It IS such a comfort though knowing that Jameson is in the company of our Father. When you are reunited again with him, he will have skin like an angel and free from all ailments. I rejoice with you this day..for THIS is the day the Lord has made! Jameson is HOME!

Through all of this, you all have been such a testimony. Your story will never end here...I imagine that you will be touching lives for a very very very long time. I am so proud of you all and so thankful that through everything, you chose to celebrate Jesus. You are AWESOME!!!

While my typing is usually bad this will be really bad, with the tears streaming down my face and continuing to well in my eyes. Todd, I am sorry I have been out of touch of late, and I'm sure you missed my wise crack texts, but I recently, like many others, lost my job. Suddenly, that stress and anxiety all seem terribly insignificant. Lil' JT is already up there working his magic!! And, tonight when I finally get home (from my new paycheck less and benefit free career path) and kiss my sleeping little girls good night, that kiss, and every one going forward, will take on SO MUCH MORE significance, thanks yet again to lil' JT!!!
All my, and my family's best, to you and your family Todd!
