Don't you love it when people know your name. Well...not when you walk into the emergency room and they greet you by name and remember your Blue Cross Blue Shield number by heart.
Jameson had an aweful night Thursday night. The fever and infection kept him up the entire night. Friday morning we were admitted into Arnold Palmer Hopsital. They have swabbed the infected areas and we are waiting for the results of the cultures. Jameson is on 2 antibiotics and a topical antibiotic. He is not eating very well because he feels really bad. He is sleeping a lot so hopefully this will make him feel better. From my understanding, infection is part of this disease. We just want to catch the infection early enough so that it does not get out of control.
The Dr. just came in and said the infection is showing in the lab as the staph infection which is consistent with the same infection he had a couple weeks ago.
Help! This dogs getting me.

Hi Melisa and Todd, glad you have some results! Are you using Bactraban as the topical antibiotic? When it comes to EB it's a good idea to rotate topical antibiotics so the body doesn't become resistant to one is particular. Another topical one that some EB patients use is silverdene. I am not sure if one has to be a certain age to use it, but maybe ask the doctors about it.
Hope you get to come home soon!
Hey guys, there is not a day that goes by that the Lord does not bring you all to my mind. I know you have heard it everyday, people saying they are praying for you, well Dacia and I are praying for you. We also hurt with you. I know we could never feel what yall are going through, but we are brothers and sisters and when you hurt we hurt.
We have enjoyed many good things in our lives together, golf victories, cross country trips, emergency trips to Target, and so many other things. All of those years I always looked to you guys as special, strong, and Christlike--I am a better person for having you in my life--God knew what He was doing so many years ago when we met each other in Subway in High Point and He still knows. I love you guys. Philippians 4:6,7
Dear Melisa and Todd through such a difficult time God is using you in a powerful way to show others that His mercies are new every day and His grace always sufficient. Without a doubt God has given Jameson 2 wonderful parents that He knows will love and care for him no matter what each new day brings. A favorite passage of scripture that I have to read often 1Peter 5:6-11 Reminds me that God cares for us and if we stay steadfast in our faith He will strengthen us. We have many of our friends in different cities and states praying for you and Jameson. If you get a moment this week read Ps46 it will encourage your heart.
Love Glen and Debbie
